Devi Garh Fort - Devigarh

It was earlier called the Delwara Fort Palace. Delwara is strategically very important, as it is one of the three main passes into the valley of Udaipur.

The principality of Delwara was awarded to one of the three brothers Sajja Singh who hailed from Gujarat to help the Maharana Pratap of Mewar against the Mughal emperor Akbar in the battle of Haldighati (1576).

Witnessing the changes for more than two centuries stands the Devi Garh Palace echoing memories of the Royal past. The Hotel takes on the look of modern India with an emphasis on detail design, using the local marble and the semi precious stones as modern inlays.

Devi Garh, the luxury resort in Udaipur, has received the highest rating for "Ambience and Design 2006" amongst all hotels in Asia in Conde Nast Traveller's Gold List. This annual Gold List, announced by Conde Nast Traveller, UK, one of the leading travel magazines in the world, lists the best hotels that set the standards for the hospitality industry worldwide. Devi Garh has received an exceptional score of 97.29 for Ambience & Design .
